Cindy Crawford‘s daughter, Kaia Gerber, has sparked a social media backlash after posing in a bathrobe with her shoulders exposed.

Even though Kaia has been building a modeling career of her very own, she’s only 15 years old. In the controversial photo, Kaia is only wearing a robe draped off her shoulders, and she’s clutching it in the front. Many social media users found this “too revealing” for such a young girl.

One follower described her as ‘too young!’ while encouraging her to cover up and another agreed the photo was not ‘appropriate’ because of her age.
 “You’re so young and there’s so many creeps out there,” said another concerned follower.
Despite the negative comments, some users jumped to Kaia’s defense. “[S]howing off our bodies is empowering, not degrading. Girls of any age should not be afraid to experience that. Kaia is obviously still a child and is not pretending to be anything else, anyone who could look at this and see something provocative is in the wrong. Spread love not hate!!” an Instagram user wrote.
This is not the first time Cindy’s daughter has been at the center of backlash. Kaia was five when she appeared in a shoot for swimsuit designer Melissa Odabash. At the time, the photos caused a bit of a controversy, as Kaia was shot topless, staring over her shoulder with a temporary tattoo on her lower back.
