Singer Ciara, 30, and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, 27, have announced they are expecting their first child.
Ciara is already the mother of a son, Future Zahir with her ex, rapper Future. This will be the couple’s first child together, and Wilson first biological child – he is stepfather to Future Zahir.
The pair posted the same picture to Instagram with different captions. Wilson’s read, “The Greatest Blessing of All. Forever Grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay.”
The couple wed this past July and are eager to start a family of their own. Last year, Ciara told E! that she was excited to have more kids. “I definitely do, yes,” she said, and when asked if she ever discussed it with her husband, she laughed: “We discuss a lot of things. A lot of good things!”
Wilson recently spoke with Maria Shriver about what it’s like to be a stepdad. Ciara “has a little man, he’s awesome and cute as can be, he’s a special kid. I’m a stepdad now,” he said. “When I see this kid, he’s 2-years-old, he’s so sweet and loving, always has a smile on his face. Being a stepfather, it’s about loving the child because the child can do something amazing in his life.”
