Christopher Schwarzenegger, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son, Flaunts His New Body After 30-Lb. Weight Loss
Christopher Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, flaunted his new body on the red carpet premiere for season two of the Netflix series FUBAR.
The photo pictured Christopher and his siblings, Christina, Patrick and Katherine, along with his father. Katherine’s husband, actor Chris Pratt, was also in the photo, posing with his in-laws.
In recent years, Christopher, 27, has lost an astonishing amount of weight, dropping 30 pounds since 2016. He shared elements of his weight loss journey that began when he gave up bread for Lent.
“Weirdly enough, I gave up bread for Lent,” he told reporters. “I was like, ‘Well, if I’m giving up bread, I might as well just take the opportunity, and I’m a good Catholic boy, so I’m not going to break it,’… and that was my own rule. ‘I’m not going to break Lent.’ And so I lost 30 pounds just through that.”
It wasn’t just the diet that fueled this transformation, though. His brother, Patrick, stated in a since-deleted Instagram post that Christopher has been “crushing in the gym.” He was also seen leaving the gym on many occasions this past year, sporting his new look.
He also spoke on a panel at Beacher Vitality’s Happy & Healthy Summit, sharing details about his decision to transform his body. He said it began with realizing how his weight was taking a toll on his life.
“I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities,” he shared. “I was like, ‘I want to go skydiving.’ And my friends were like, ‘Yeah, no shot.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I can’t skydive.'”
He said that his weight bothered him in his younger years as well, sharing how he would try to change his eating habits, but it made him feel like an outsider.
“I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school,” he explained.
He also said his transformation isn’t over yet.
“It’s not an overnight thing,” he said. “But it took a lot of trial and error, and even still to this day…when you’re saying, ‘Oh, before and after photos.’ I don’t feel like I’m an “after” yet. I don’t feel like I’m at that point.”
Christopher doesn’t share much about his gym routine as he is private on social media.
