Despite filing for a divorce after Tarek El Moussa discovered his wife, Christina El Moussa, was sending inappropriate texts to their family contractor, Gary Anderson, the couple has decided to stick to that old adage, “the show must go on.”
The El Moussa’s have co-hosted HGTV’s Flip or Flop for seven full seasons and are asking for an eighth, regardless of their marital woes, according to a report by TMZ.
The decision to continue further with the show is the network’s to make and it seems their decision could go either way. They have already announced plans for several Flip or Flop spinoffs, Flip or Flop Fort Worth, Vegas, Nashville and Chicago. And still, the El Moussa’s original Flip or Flop continues to get great ratings, even after the divorce was announced.
In fact, it seems that more viewers have tuned in to the episodes following the drama of the El Moussa’s split.
The couple is committed to making the split work, both for their professional lives and their personal ones.
“Taylor did SOOO amazing at her Peter Pan perfomance!!!! Now… dad gets to watch it for the next THREE nights lol but worth every moment… LOVE HER,” Tarek captioned an Instagram post of him, his daughter, Taylor, and Christina last week.
New episodes of Flip or Flop air Thursday nights on HGTV.
