Singer Christina Grimmie, who was tragically shot and killed following a concert in Florida last month, will have new music released posthumously.

Christina Grimmie New Music Released

Grimmie had filmed four music videos as part of a four-song project called The Ballad of Jessica Blue. Though she had completed the project, she had yet to release any of the videos at the time of her death. Team Grimmie announced that the project would be posthumously released in a statement posted to Twitter.

“The story follows Jessica Blue through the songs ‘Snow White,’ ‘Anybody’s You,’ ‘Deception,’ and ‘Without Him’ on her journey to find her voice and her path in life only to find out they are on in the same,” the statement reads.

The statement continues, “Christina shot these videos back in February with about six hours of choreography and four days of filming before she left for the WildFire tour. Everyone worked so hard on this project, putting in extra-long days on set to ensure we got the best quality project we could for the minimal budget we had. I couldn’t be more proud of her and everyone involved for the labor of love that was put into this project.”

A rep for the singer further explained the decision to release the project.

“The decision to release these videos was a collective decision made by her family and team,” the rep told Entertainment Tonight. She put a lot of passion and hard work into these videos, and we felt that her fans (and Christina) deserved to see the end product that was due to be released shortly after she returned home from tour.”

Grimmie died aged 22 last month in Orlando, Florida. She was shot and killed by Kevin James Loibl, a deranged fan who killed the singer at a post-concert meet and greet. Loibl died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound following the horrifying attack.
