While all the talk seems to be about Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway, new additions to the Christopher Nolan-led Dark Knight franchise, Christian Bale is still its hero. Reprising his role as billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne and his masked alter-ego Batman, Bale was in New York City on Friday shooting the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises.
Bale, 37, shared scenes with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, also a new addition to the franchise. Gordon-Levitt plays a police officer who steps up after Commissioner Gordon, played by Gary Oldman, falls ill. The movie, which also co-stars Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman, has been shooting all over the world, including Pittsburgh, London, Glasgow and Los Angeles, the Daily Mail reports.
