Chrissy Teigen’s team addressed Michael Costello’s bullying allegations through an Instagram post shared in her account.
“No idea what … [Michael Costello] is doing,” read the Instagram caption. “He just released a statement where he didn’t at ALL acknowledge how fake the dm’s were, & now claims to have emails that don’t exist. So while he conjures those up (hopefully with someone more talented in fakes this time, here.”
Teigen’s team says the screenshots showed inconsistencies that suggest they could have been manipulated in some way. For instance, one of the screenshots had a missing verification checkmark. This could mean that the screenshots were taken before 2014 – before the social media platform introduced the verification program. However, the same screenshots showed features – like the videocall option – that were introduced in 2018.
