Chrissy Teigen Shares Endometriosis Surgery Experience On What Would’ve Been Third Child’s Due Date

Chrissy Teigen shared her experience before and after Endometriosis surgery on Twitter this week. Teigen said her surgery happened to fall on the same week that her third child, Jack, would have been due.

Teigen experienced a miscarriage at 20 weeks pregnant in September 2020 after being hospitalized for excessive bleeding. Teigen and her husband, John Legend, shared the sad news on Instagram on Sept. 30. The couple have two other children, Luna Simone and Miles Theodore.

On Feb. 3, Teigen tweeted that she was feeling “off” because Jack’s due date was this week.

“My little jack would have been born this week, so I’m a bit off. I truly feel kicks in my belly, but it’s not phantom. I have surgery for endometriosis tomorrow…but the period feeling this month is exactly like baby kicks. Sigh,” tweeted Teigen.

She shared a video of her stomach moving around. “I’ll pretend it’s him saying hi – it never stops,” she said.

Teigen also asked her followers about their experience with endometriosis surgery and what the recovery process and intensity are like. On Feb. 4 she shared a video on Twitter updating her followers that she was “ok and home now” while showing the bandages on her stomach.

On Thursday, Teigen also posted a photo on her Instagram from her husband’s “Wild” video shoot. She said she was 10 weeks pregnant during the shoot and decided at the time that it would be a good opportunity to share their pregnancy.

“I could have never imagined what would happen over the next 10 weeks…not sure I’ll ever be able to watch that video again without sobbing, but I hope he feels my tears and knows we miss him so. He would have been here any day now – if he were like Luna and Miles, I’d probably be holding him as we speak,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Teigen expressed regret for not looking at her son’s face after he was born and said she has been struggling more than usual this month.

“This month is a rough reminder and to be honest, I thought the worst was over but I guess life and emotions aren’t on any sort of schedule,” she wrote.
