Chrissy Teigen was an unfortunate passenger of All Nippon Airways’ eight-hour flight to nowhere. Teigen live-tweeted the experience as it unfolded, giving her audience a sample of her tedious experience.
Teigen and her husband, John Legend, were among the 150 passengers on the plane. The flight left Los Angeles at 11:36 a.m. on Tuesday. Although it was intended to arrive in Tokyo, it instead landed back in Los Angeles on 7:33 p.m. The unplanned return back to Los Angeles was a consequence of a passenger who accidentally boarded the wrong plane.
Teigen’s biggest question was why the airline decided to return to L.A. instead of continuing en route to Tokyo. She “won’t be able to sleep” until she has the answer to this question.
Another passenger who was onboard for the lengthy ordeal tweeted an image of the bizarre flight path:
After the plane arrived back in L.A., Teigen continued her updates:
Teigen diligently remained on Twitter to share the experience, and the tweets embedded in this article are only a sample. Earlier today, All Nippon Airways issued a statement to CBS News, and they tweeted out an apology for the passengers they inconvenienced:
On a more positive note, a fan of Teigen’s and Legend’s enjoyed getting to meet them:
