Comedian actor Chris Rock has announced he is going on tour for the first time in nine years.
His tour, Total Blackout, will begin next February and will feature brand-new material. This news piggybacks on the Netflix announcement that the streaming service will pay Rock $40 million for two specials to be released on the site.
The tour is set to kick off on Feb. 14 in Durham, North Carolina. Not all dates have been released, but the last as of now is June 3 in Atlantic City.
Haven’t done it in a while, been a little busy y’know writing Pooty Tang 3 and everything,” he quipped. “But hey, it’s time.” This year has been huge for Rock, who also hosted the Oscars this past February.
