Chris Pratt is under fire again for a social media post.
For Mother’s Day this year, Pratt showed his appreciation for the mothers in his life by sharing a picture of his three main women: his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, his mom Kathy Pratt and mother-in-law Maria Shriver.
In a sweet Instagram post, the Guardians of the Galaxy star wished everyone a happy Mother’s Day and noted that he was “especially grateful for Katherine.”

“Our two daughters are so lucky to have you and you’re the best stepmama to Jack,” he added before naming his mother and mother-in-law in the caption.
He finished his heartfelt message with “And to all of the other moms in my life, I’m so grateful for all you do-thank you so much. Hope you feel celebrated today.”

Instagram users didn’t take long to voice their opinions about the actor’s post, with one commenting, “Tom Brady managed to thank both of his exes in his Mother’s Day post. But I guess we can’t expect everyone to be perfect.”
Another said, “You seem to be forgetting someone but nobody is surprised by this.”
Pratt previously drew ire in November 2021 when he uploaded an appreciation post for his wife and remarked on how she’s given him an “amazing life” and “a gorgeous healthy daughter.”
Followers quickly saw the difference in treatment between his current wife and his ex-wife, Anna Faris. Pratt’s first child with Faris, Jack, 10, was born premature and had to spend weeks in intensive care due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Although it seems many were unhappy with Pratt’s post, some fans came to his defense.
“The most uncontroversial post ever, and people are still finding a way to ruin it. Great pic. Happy for you,” commented one fan.
Some even called out the double standards with one saying, “All of those people making comments about Chris’s ex-wife, she never made a father’s day post about him after they broke up either.”
Amidst the controversy, Pratt seems to be a present father as he has posted his son many times on social media and previously commented on how the negative reactions to his social media bother him.
