Chris Hemsworth has recently confirmed that filming for his movie Thor: Love and Thunder has started by sharing some heartwarming behind-the-scenes photos. Hemsworth went to Instagram last week with some pictures of himself, along with director Taika Waititi, receiving a welcome ceremony with a group of indigenous Australian dancers. “A beautiful start to our shoot today with a Welcome to Country ceremony from the Gamay dancers of the Gadigal and Bidiagal Nation and performance and karakia by Maori dancers from Te Aranganui” his caption stated.
Hemsworth ends the caption with the statement, “Let’s find a date where all Australians can celebrate this beautiful country together.”
Thor: Love and Thunder is finally underway after its initial delay amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Karen Gillian (Nebula), and Pom Klementieff (Mantis) have also recently posted about making their way to Australia. Natalie Portman is confirmed to be coming back as her character Jane Foster. There are also rumors that Matt Damon may make another appearance after his last cameo in Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on May 6, 2022.
