Chris Hemsworth And Emily Blunt Strike A Pose At ‘The Huntsman Winter’s War’ Photocall

Chris Hemsworth and Emily Blunt were on hand to pose for photographers at The Huntsman: Winter’s War photocall in London Thursday.

Blunt, who is pregnant with her and husband John Krasinski‘s second child, was glowing as the cameras snapped away, sporting a form-fitting tan midi dress under a taupe duster. At her side, Hemsworth looked dapper in black jeans, matching shirt, and brown blazer.

In The Huntsman: Winter’s War, the sequel to 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman, Hemsworth reprises the titular role. Blunt joined the cast as Ice Queen Freya, Ravenna’s (Charlize Theron) sister. The movie builds up to a massive confrontation that pits Ravenna and Freya against the Huntsman and Sara (Jessica Chastain), two of Freya’s former warriors who were banished for defying her rule against love.

When asked about starring in such a female-driven vehicle and whether or not he identifies as a feminist, Hemsworth answered in the affirmative and went on to share his excitement at being involved in the project that puts female strength at the forefront.

“Oh yeah, for sure,” Hemsworth said of being a feminist to the RadioTimes, adding, “My mum’s a big feminist. I think that my views on things, as far as respect for women and so on, came from my mum. My dad has a very balanced and respectful view on a lot of things too. They were huge positive influences in my life.”

“The strength of [The Huntsman] was in these three women [Blunt, Chastain and Theron] and their performances, the heart and soul that they’ve blended through their characters,” Hemsworth said. “I think the balance has been tipped for a long time heavily in the men’s direction. There are seven to eight male superheroes and one female in there. This is the opposite.”

Hemsworth went on, “It’s exciting to be part of something like that, but it’s a funny conversation to even have, because of course it should be that way. Of course it should be equal.”

The Huntsman: Winter’s War hits theaters April 21.
