On Wednesday, CNN host Chris Cuomo announced on his show, Cuomo Prime Time, that his wife, Cristina Greeven Cuomo, tested positive for COVID-19.

Chris stated that he had been self-isolating from the rest of his family after testing positive last month.

“Christina now has COVID. She is now positive. And it just breaks my heart,” he said during a segment with his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. “It is the one thing I was hoping wouldn’t happen, and now it has.”

Chris took to his Twitter account to post about the fear he had of passing the virus to his family on March 31.

“I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!” he wrote.

After the broadcast on Wednesday night, Chris reported on his Twitter that his three children are “still healthy,” but that his wife’s diagnosis “shook us at our literal core.”
