While he doesn’t go as far as saying he’s an alcoholic, Chris Cuomo did open up to viewers talking about when he chooses to drink, and that “it’s not always for the right reason.”
He was speaking from his couch recording an episode of his podcast The Chris Cuomo Project and was encouraging people to speak frankly about their mental health struggles. He opened up about being a “hard drinker” and also cracked that “my diet can suck.”
Cuomo said he was motivated to discuss these concerns openly because “my mental health has become an increasing aspect of my self-concern about how I can be my best.”
The former CNN anchor is currently legally feuding with his ex-network for letting him go after it was revealed he advised his brother Andrew Cuomo on his sexual assault accusations while still working at the network. He is seeking $125 million from CNN in his lawsuit.
His former boss at ABC, Shelley Ross, also accused Chris Cuomo of sexually harassing her at his going away party. She said Cuomo grabbed her buttocks before saying “I can do this now that you’re no longer my boss.”
