Chloe Grace Moretz recently announced that she’s decided to pull out of all of her upcoming projects in a bid to refocus her career.
Moretz has more than 50 credits to her name at the young age of 20. Looking at the roles in the pipeline that would add to the impressive number, Moretz decided to back out. The actress, who recently split from aspiring photographer Brooklyn Beckham, believes that now is a good time to take a step back and see what she really wants out of her career.
“I pulled the plug on all my movies ’cause I would like to reassess who I’m and find myself within my roles again,” Moretz told The Hollywood Reporter of her self-described “Come to Jesus moment.”
“I am realizing that I can slow down,” Moretz added.
Moretz, who got into a public headline-making Twitter feud with the Kardashians earlier this year, is also realizing that sometimes it’s best not to get so involved – even if she didn’t regret what she said.
“I realized that being the most opinionated and loud person in the room is not always the most impactful. I learned that from Hillary,” Moretz told THR, referring to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. “It’s great to be feisty,’ those were her exact words. But sometimes the smartest way to get into the psyche of people is to be the quietest person in the room. Let everyone else bicker and throw their words around and then you come in with the quiet voice and that will be the most impactful.”
