Cher has been forced to postpone the second leg of her Dressed to Kill tour because of an “acute viral infection” that is requiring the singer to be on bed rest.
Cher’s tour stops in Albany, N.Y. and Manchester, N.H. – which were scheduled to take place later this week – have been pushed pack to Oct. 6 and 7., respectively, reported Billboard. Doctors, who evaluated Cher over the weekend, have put the pop icon on full bed rest for the next several days.
Refunds will be made available for ticketholders who cannot make the rescheduled dates. No dates other than the ones in Albany and Manchester have been postponed.
The first leg of Cher’s Dressed to Kill tour, which ran from March 22 to July 11 and featured 49 sell-out shows, grossed $54 million. She’s been playing a mix of her most popular hits – including “I Got You Babe” and “If I Could Turn Back Time” – in addition to tracks off her latest album, Closer to the Truth.
Cher, 68, is scheduled to return to the touring circuit Sept. 15, performing in Allentown, Pa., followed by stops in Newark, N.J. and New York City.
