Cher, 76, Shows Off Engagement-Like Ring From AE Edwards, 36

Cher has provoked engagement rumors after posting a photo of a dazzling diamond ring. The picture showed off a pear-shaped diamond ring in a ring box.

The star tweeted the photo on Christmas day with the caption, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E,” which led fans to believe her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards had proposed.

A few hours later, Cher reposted the photo saying “I posted this cause his nails are cool.” She has yet to confirm whether the couple is engaged.

The 76-year-old made her relationship Twitter-official in November sharing a photo of the music executive with fans. The pair met during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.

“On paper, it’s kind of ridiculous. But in real life, we get along great,” Cher said on the Kelly Clarkson Show about the pair’s age difference. “I don’t give men qualities they don’t deserve but he’s very kind, he’s very smart, he’s very talented and he’s really funny. And I think he’s quite handsome.”

She also admitted that older men just “didn’t like me all that much.”

“And maybe younger men don’t care if you’re funny or outrageous and want to do stupid things, and you have the strong personality,” she continued. “I’m not giving up my personality for anybody, okay?”
The icon has a notoriously strong personality on her Twitter account. She had another holiday message to share with her followers:

“Merry Xmas,” she tweeted with a hatching chick emoji. “Things come & go but mostly I’m cool.”
