While he hasn’t exactly been “winning” a whole lot lately – his semi-improvised spoken-word tour was roundly panned and his slot on his CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men is now occupied by Ashton Kutcher – but Charlie Sheen has been bestowed the dubious honor of being just enough of a jerk to warrant a gallery of his peers tearing him a new one live on network television.

Set to air on September 19 – the same night Two and a Half Men starts back up – the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen features a who’s who of the famous and the infamous, ready to poke fun at the troubled star and his many, many, many indiscretions. New names recently added to a line-up that already boasted the likes of Steve-O, Mike Tyson and Roastmaster Seth MacFarlane include the likes of William Shatner, SNL’s Jon Lovitz and special guest Slash.

Some of the more… how shall we put it… print friendly jokes have already been leaked online. A quick glance at InsideTV reveals gags ranging from the inspired: “If you’re winning, this must not be a child custody hearing. The only time your kids get to see you is in reruns — don’t you want to live to see their first 12 steps?” (— Jeffrey Ross), to the cruel: “Charlie still hasn’t hit rock bottom. He’s looking forward to it though, because he thinks there’s a rock there.” (— Steve-O)” to the downright unkind: “It’s amazing — after abusing your lungs, liver and kidneys, the only thing you’ve had removed is your kids.” (— Kate Walsh)
