Charlie Sheen’s off-screen behavior may finally hurt his career.
CBS halted production on Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season, due to the antics and remarks of its scandal prone star.
“Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season,” the network said in a statement Thursday night.
While Sheen has never been completely free from the tabloids or the police throughout his career, it was his hate-filled rant about Chuck Lorre during a radio interview on Thursday that seems to have put the network over the edge. Calling into the Alex Jones Show, Sheen blasted the Men co-creator, calling him a “charlatan” and their hit CBS show “tin cans." He also referred to Lorre as "Chaim Levine" (he was born Charles Michael Levine), which struck CBS and Warner Bros. as anti-Semitic, according to The New York Times. Sheen continued for 18 minutes, covering the subjects of Alcoholics Anonymous (which he called a “bootleg cult”) and what he believes to be his nonexistent substance abuse issues (“I cured it… with my mind… it’s all good guys.”), as well as estranged ex-wife Brook Mueller (""Good luck in your travels, you're going to need it. Badly.").
Sheen has since responded to CBS and Warner Bros.' decision with an open letter shared with TMZ, which reads: "I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists."
Until now, the star has successfully been able to weather several of his personal storms while leading Men to become the top-rated sitcom on television, and taking home nearly $2 million per episode in the last year. Sheen is under contract for the 2011-12 season; CBS has not commented on the future of the series past this year. —EMILY EXTON

I can't believe he did this, hahaha. This show paid him $2 million/episode and this was he how repaid them. But the man has opinions and he refuses to let anyone quiet him down. I personally like the “I cured it… with my mind… it’s all good guys.”
