On the heels of his bizarre series of interviews and public firing from Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen has taken his now popular catch phrases on the road. The belabored actor took the stage at Detroit’s Fox Theater on Saturday night for the first stop of his live show, Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth, and proved that winning isn't as easy as it looks.
Despite Sheen's self-described knack for success, his routine did not go over well with the Motor City audience. When he announced these live shows weeks ago, Sheen promised those in attendance would be hearing the "truth" of his recent exploits, most notably the deterioration of his relationship with CBS and his Men bosses. Yet Sheen did not offer many factual revelations, but rather opted to ramble on about nonsensical ideas and take ill-advised shots at the hometown crowd. "I figured Detroit was a good place to tell some crack stories," he said to the audience. "Show of hands – who here has tried crack? Forget that. Who is holding crack right now? I don't do crack anymore, but I'm just saying.” Overall, Sheen's show was met with boos, several walk-outs and cries of "refund" from audience members. Still winning?—EMILY EXTON
