Charlie Sheen Ends Feud With ‘Two And A Half Men’ Co-Creator Chuck Lorre Ahead of New Series

After a highly publicized feud, Chuck Lorre has ended his long-standing fight with Charlie Sheen.

The idea of a reunion with the Two and a Half Men star began when Lorre wanted a notable celebrity cameo for his new Max TV show, Bookie.

“It should be Charlie,” Lorre told Variety. “I remember Charlie was very much engaged in sports betting and he would tell me stories about it all the time. You know, when things were good.”

Lorre then met with Sheen for the first time in over a decade.

“I was nervous, but almost as soon as we started talking, I remembered, we were friends once. And that friendship just suddenly seemed to be there again,” Lorre said. “I don’t want to be too mawkish about it, but it was healing. And he was also totally game to make fun of himself. When he came to the table read of that episode, I walked up, and we hugged. It was just great.”

At the table read, Sheen expressed discomfort with his character being in rehab. In response, Lorre changed that aspect of the script.

In 2011, Sheen insulted Lorre, calling him a “t—” and “a little maggot” during their infamous fight.

Sheen was later fired for his comments, with his role in Two and a Half Men being replaced by Ashton Kutcher. Sheen expressed regret for the feud in 2021.

Lorre’s new Max comedy series, Bookie, is set to premiere on November 30.

In 2021, Sheen stopped paying child support to ex Denise Richards after their daughter moved out of her house.
