Charlie Sheen is insisting that illegal drugs were not involved in his recent altercation at a dentist’s office last week, which is currently being investigated by the LAPD.
Police were called to Sheen’s dentist’s office last week after a technician accused Sheen of freaking out and threatening her with a knife. The technician alleges that she was putting a mask over the actor’s face for nitrous oxide when Sheen became enraged, hitting her and pulling out a knife. The technician told police that Sheen’s bodyguard told her Sheen was high on cocaine. The LAPD are currently investigating the alleged attack.
However, Sheen is denying any attack, calling the technician’s story “completely false” in a statement from his lawyer, Marty Singer. Singer claims that the technician is simply trying to get back at Sheen after being fired for calling her son and informing him that Sheen was in the office. “The story is being made up by this woman who was fired on Friday for violating HIPAA by telling her son Charlie was in the office. It got back to Charlie and the dentist fired her,” Singer told TMZ.
Singer also said that the dentist contradicted the technician’s story, telling them there was no knife.
Sheen’s reps claim that the actor was taking medication for an old shoulder injury, and, paired with the nitrous oxide, the medication caused Sheen to have a had reaction at the dentist’s office. “There was no knife involved and no illegal drugs,” Sheen’s rep stated.
