Charlie Sheen Cast As President In 'Machete' Sequel

Commander in Sheen? In Machete Kills, the upcoming sequel to director Robert Rodriguez's 2010 action film Machete, Charlie Sheen will play none other than the President of the United States.

“I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…” Rodriguez announced on Twitter on Thursday.

Sheen retweeted the message and added: “My Fellow Americans!” His rep confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that "negotiations are taking place."

For advice on playing the Head of State, Sheen can turn to his father, actor Martin Sheen, who played President Josiah Bartleton on the television drama The West Wing.
