Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens, prominent supporters of President Donald Trump, who lead a pro-Trump super PAC called Turning Point USA, were confronted and chased out of a restaurant on Monday.
After securing a window seat Monday morning at Philadelphia’s Green Eggs Cafe, the pair was noticed by people who’re unhappy with the current political landscape. The protesters appeared so suddenly that the two could barely skim the menu, according to Malik Joe, the restaurant’s manager.
“At first, I thought it was a vegan protest,” Joe told The Washington Post. By this point, Joe did not know of the controversial nature of the two patrons. According to Joe, “The protesters were screaming ‘White Supremacist’ and something about immigrants.” They also threw food and various objects at Kirk and Owens.

Owens eventually took out her smartphone, issuing a series of tweets about how she was harassed by “ANTIFA protesters” while trying to eat a meal.
Kirk took to the social media platform as well. He claimed he and his colleague were attacked as a direct consequence of Democrat Maxine Waters‘ calling for confronting Trump officials, referencing a rally the California Representative spoke at in June.
