Nothing like a fresh manicure, right? Not for 28-year-old Charley Fowler. According to People, Fowler dragged a nail salon employee across the parking lot with her car after not paying for services.

Fowler was offered to let a nail technician fix the work she was unhappy with, but she refused and left Diamond Nails & Spa without paying the $30.

Fowler, a mental health therapist, was allegedly waiting in her car for the police to arrive when an employee started to beat her window. The police report indicates that Fowler began backing out of the parking lot, taking the employee in tow.

She was charged with misdemeanor theft and criminal recklessness. Fowler has not announced her plea, nor has a hearing been scheduled yet.

Her attorney said the police should not be involved in a dispute over services.

“This was a dispute over services,” Bob Harper told NWI Times. “Does anyone think she went in there with the intent to steal? Police are not supposed to get involved in civil disputes. They are not judges.”

The incident can be watched in the video below, where Fowler was initially seen complaining about the work done on her nails. Later, you can see her pull out in her white sedan after one of the employees jumped onto her car.

Here’s a different view of the employees trying to stop Fowler from leaving:

The incident occurred last Saturday.
