Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum Welcome First Child

Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum recently welcomed their first child, People confirmed. As of yet, neither the birthdate nor the sex of the baby has been revealed by the couple.

Tatum and Dewan-Tatum met on the set of 2006 dance flick Step Up and married in 2009. In December 2012, they announced that they were expecting their first child. Since Tatum is currently filming Jupiter Ascending in London with Mila Kunis, Dewan-Tatum had been residing in the UK city as well, which is where she gave birth.

Back in April, Dewan-Tatum gushed about how her husband had taken on the role of daddy-to-be. “Channing has been great,” she told Glamour. “He takes the route of no confrontation, just support, saying things like, ‘Do whatever you want! What do you want to eat? I’m going to leave it up to you,’” she said.

The Magic Mike star has been open about his desire to have a large brood with his wife of four years. "The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that,” he told People last year. “It's really easy for us guys to say, 'I want, like, 15 kids.' Jenna will be like, 'Well, you better get another wife!' "

Tatum will next be seen in White House Down with Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhall. Dewan-Tatum filmed a pilot last year for fantasy series Witches of East End, which has yet to be released.
