Channing Tatum appeared on Ellen Thursday, where he admitted that he’s packed on some pounds since the birth of his firstborn daughter.
When Tatum danced his way out in front of the audience, Ellen DeGeneres had a difficult time quieting down the cheers for the Magic Mike star. When DeGeneres joked about Tatum giving his fans a bit of a strip show, the actor respectfully declined.
"You definitely don't want that right now," Tatum laughed. "Right now, what me and my wife like to call it — I am very fappy – I am very fat and happy right now."
“I've been working for two straight years,” he explained. “Now it's some really needed downtime."
Tatum and his wife, actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum, welcomed daughter Everly in June of last year. Now eight months old, Tatum says his daughter has "better taste in music than I do … because she will only fall asleep to really good music."
Instead of lullabies like “Rock-a-bye Baby,” Everly prefers the sounds of Drake and Prince. “She might be conceited, I'm not sure … Prince's “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World,” Tatum said, revealing one of his daughter's favorites. “She loves falling asleep to that."
