CEO Killer Suspect Luigi Mangione Grins In Court As Dozens Of Female Fans Attend Hearing In Support

Luigi Mangione was “grinning” and “yukking it up” in a Manhattan courtroom as he pleaded not guilty to the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Magione walked into the Manhattan Supreme Court at 9:26 a.m. on Monday, wearing an outfit that partly matched the attire of his attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo. At least two dozen women packed the courtroom for the twisted heartthrob. Only six men watched in the gallery.

During his hearing, Mangione flashed a grin and looked around the courtroom with furrowed brows and a smoldering expression. Agnifilo argued that she was concerned about her client’s right to a fair trial, stating, “He’s being prejudiced by some statements made by government officials.”

Agnifilo slammed Mayor Eric Adams and the NYPD for Mangione’s perp walk last week, calling the mayor’s appearance “unconstitutional.”

“The mayor should know more than anyone about the presumption of innocence,” she stated in the courtroom. “He was trying to detract from those issues.”

Mangione had been expected to be arraigned in state court after he was indicted on 11 counts, including first-degree murder in furtherance of terrorism, but he was taken to a Manhattan federal courtroom for arraignment on a parallel charges by prosecutors with the Southern District of New York.

Health insurance industry leaders leaned on the Department of Justice to take up the case in the event of copycat killers. Mangione is facing the death penalty in the federal case.

The alleged assassin will remain in the Metropolitan Detention Center as the Southern District prosecutors allow local District Attorneys to examine Magione in the courtroom.

The courtroom saw a lot of inappropriate behavior as one woman supporter flashed him a thumbs up, and outside of the courthouse, more than 30 supporters of Mangione chanted and held signs to show their support for the alleged murderer.
