Amid her battle with stiff-person syndrome, Céline Dion went to Las Vegas’s T-Mobile Arena on Monday night for a hockey game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Vegas Golden Knights.

After the event, Dion and her three sons got to visit the Canadiens’ locker room to meet the players and pose for pictures.

The Canadien’s vice president of communications, Chantal Matchabée, posted photos of the greeting on Instagram, and wrote in French, “The whole team was very happy to meet you and your family.”

Dion posted her own Instagram photos, and wrote, in both English and French, “My boys and I had such a fun time visiting with the Montreal Canadiens after their hockey game with Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas Monday night. They played so well, what a game!! Thank you for meeting us after the game, guys! That was memorable for all of us. Have a great season! – Celine xx…”

The pop star, 55, announced her diagnosis last year.

Stiff-person syndrome is a rare and incurable neurological disorder that causes intense muscle stiffness and body spasms. With autoimmune features, the disease can include symptoms like hyper-rigidity, debilitating pain, chronic anxiety and muscle spasms that can dislocate joints and even break bones.

At the time, Dion said, “While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been having… Unfortunately, the spasm affects every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”

She later had to cancel her 2024 Courage World Tour.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again,” she wrote. “I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100 percent… even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.”
