Celine Dion has announced that she will be resuming her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum towards the end of summer.
Dion, who’d taken an indefinite break from the show to care for husband René Angelil in his latest cancer battle, will be back up on the stage in late August. The show, though it will be similar to the one she walked away from last year, has undergone a bit of makeover for a fresh experience.
Speaking about her return, Dion admitted that it will undoubtedly be an emotional experience for her.
“It is very emotional for me and I’m anticipating the emotions to grow even more as the date gets closer,” Dion told People.
Adding of her fan support, she said, “It’s very touching. Every night is a new show … I promise there will be high, happy notes.”
Angelil was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 1999, five years after wedding Dion. It returned in early 2014.
