Celebrities from Barack Obama to Blake Lively took to Twitter to offer their happy Valentine’s Day wishes.

CELEBRITIES TWEET FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

President Obama tweeted at his wife Michelle Obama, saying, “Happy Valentine’s Day! Almost 28 years with you, but it always feels new.”

Josh Gad lovingly posted, “Love of my life @idadarvish happy Valentine’s Day. Thank you for being the greatest wife, mother and friend anyone could ask for.” Melissa Joan Hart posted a picture of candies and chocolates, and said, “All ready for #ValentinesDay with cupcakes made by Mason, Sweethearts, flowers for teachers, homemade Valentines by Brady and even a heart shaped cake commissioned by Tucker!”

Some chose to speak directly to their fans. Reese Witherspoon, who is currently filming abroad, said, “Since it’s Feb. 14 in #NewZealand… Happy #ValentinesDay!!! Sending love and kisses to y’al state side!” Rebel Wilson plugged her own film, saying. “if you’re single, it’s a great day to watch HOW TO BE SINGLE x Love yourself first!”

Lively and Sarah Michelle Gellar similarly took the opportunity to thank their female friends and family members. “Happy Gal-entine’s Day,” wrote Lively. “Thank you to all the ladies in my life who prove it over and over again,” said Gellar. “I love you all #happygalentinesday.”

Susan Sarandon offered a fresh outlook with a quote. “Love is not just something that happens to you: It is a special way of being alive.” –Thomas Merton. Happy Valentine’s Day!” Jokester Freddie Prinze, Jr. made his followers laugh by quipping, “Happy Day of St Valentine, you sexy, fantastical, yet sensitive beast… Sorry, I was talking to myself.”

Kim Kardashian West kept it simple, just stating, “Happy Valentine’s Day” under a picture of her kissing husband Kanye West.
