Cathriona White, the Los Angeles stylist who dated Jim Carrey, was married when she apparently used drugs prescribed to him to take her own life.

Cathriona White Update: Married To Another Man

White was found dead at her L.A. home on Sept. 28, with four prescription pill bottles located near her body. “There were four prescriptions: Ambien, Percocet, Propranolol and Zofran,” Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter says, adding that they “were not [written] in her name.” According to Winter, three of the drugs were prescribed to one name, while the fourth was to another. The name on the three bottles is an alias for Carrey, reported TMZ.

Neither the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office nor the L.A.P.D. have confirmed the origin of the alias on the pill bottles. Carrey’s rep has declined to comment, though a source close to the actor says he didn’t realize the drugs were missing.

“Jim didn’t even realize until a couple days later,” the insider told Us Weekly. “Because it’s not something that he took on a regular basis.”

A toxicology report on White is pending.

Carrey had dated White on and off since 2012 after meeting on a movie set. The two had broken up again shortly before her death. Upon learning of her tragic passing, Carrey released a statement.

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” Carrey’s statement read. “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.”

“My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her,” the actor added. “We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”

Though Carrey was her most public relationship, it has recently been reported that White was married at the time of her suicide to LA-based photographer Mark Burton. White and Burton had tied the knot in January 2013 at a Las Vegas wedding chapel. The two had reportedly separated and were planning to divorce.

White’s family has recently traveled to the U.S. in order to bring her body back to her native Ireland.
