This year’s Tony Award nominees announced Tuesday features a hearty number of Hollywood crossovers, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jude Law and Scarlet Johansson. Zeta-Jones received a nod for best actress in a musical in a revival of A Little Night Music, where she co-stars with Angela Lansbury. Law’s return to Broadway in Hamlet has him vying for the best actor spot where he competes against Denzel Washington for Fences, and British theater actor Alfred Molina for Red.
Liev Schreiber and Scarlet Johansson both earned nods for A View From the Bridge. Other nominees include Christopher Walken for A Behanding in Spokane, and Laura Linney for Time Stands Still. The award ceremony will be aired on CBS June 13th. –KRIS ALACANTARA
