The Voice host Carson Daly has apologized for an off-color joke he made on his radio show on Tuesday. Daly, in the midst of a discussion about the infamous JetBlue pilot who had a meltdown during a flight and had to be restrained by passengers, suggested that the gay people he knows would not have the strength to restrain a crazy pilot.

"Most of the people were on their way to some sort of security conference in Las Vegas," Daly said. "It was like a bunch of dudes, and well-trained dudes." Daly then joked that, if it were him on the flight, he would be unlucky enough to be on a flight headed for a Pride parade in San Francisco. "It would be like, 'This is the flight going to [the gay pride parade] in San Francisco.' I mean, that would be my colleagues," he quipped.

But Daly has since come clean of the offense. "This morning on my radio show, I attempted to make fun of myself and offended others by mistake. I sincerely apologize," he later tweeted.
