Country star Carrie Underwood had her home damaged during the storms in Nashville.
Underwood’s home was one of many affected by the storms Wednesday morning. “Work up to tornado sirens and hail…our chimney is currently in our driveway… tree limbs everywhere… feels like home,” tweeted the Oklahoma native, along with the hashtag “#okie.”
Flooding and hail besieged the middle of Tennessee and cost residents a lot of damage. It was confirmed that three tornados touched down Wednesday afternoon, all three classified as EF-1. Fallen trees caused a lot of havoc as well, falling on homes and blocking roadways. In addition, nearly 12,000 power outages were reported.
Underwood grew up in Oklahoma, so tornados and tornado warnings are common for her. She even evoked the twister in her hit “Blown Away.”
