The seven-time Grammy-award winning country singer Carrie Underwood mashed up her song “See You Again,” with Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s song of the same name at the Big Barrel Music Festival on June 28.
The former American Idol winner began the performance with her own song “See You Again,” from her 2012 album Blown Away, then broke into the chorus of Khalifa and Puth’s hit-song that was featured on Furious 7’s soundtrack as a tribute to the late Paul Walker. Without missing a beat, the country star jumped right into Khalifa’s verse, tripping up on some of the words and laughing to the crowd as she did. The fans erupted in cheers, singing along with Underwood as she performed the mashup. She switched back and forth between the songs hitting amazing high notes, ending with her own song.
Fans on Twitter are loving Underwood’s creative mashup. The singer tweeted out to her more than 4.5 million followers, “Thanks to all who came out to the @BigBarrelFest ! You were such an amazing crowd! I’m so happy there’s no way I’m gonna to sleep tonight!”
