Cardi B is upset with the government shutdown. She went off in an Instagram video about federal workers not getting paid and the difference between Obama‘s shutdown and Trump‘s. The video was captioned, “I know a lot of ya do r watch the news so I’m letting ya know shit getting real …..I ain’t going to say nothing much tho I don’t want mofos to off me…..ANYWAYS TWERK VIDEO OUT NOW.” Here it is below:

“I just wanna remind you that it’s been a little bit over three weeks,” she says in the video. “Trump is now ordering federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid. This is serious. Our country is in a hellhole right now. All for a wall.”

The rapper added that she’s feeling helpless as the shutdown continues. “I feel like we need to take some action,” she said. “I don’t know what type of action … because this is not what I do. But … I’m scared.”

The video currently has over 13 million views. Some criticized the video but most applauded her for speaking out in it.

Tump recently ordered thousands of government employees to return to work and process taxes, perform safety inspections and other activities. This has drawn much criticism. While the government can’t offer assistance to its citizens, it still can take in their money. Trump also signed a bill on Wednesday that provides back pay to federal employees after the partial shutdown ends. Though this helps the 800,000 currently furloughed workers, it does nothing for the 1.2 million government contractors that perform jobs such as cooks and consultants.
