Bronx rapper Cardi B became engaged recently and her ring is worth a small fortune.

According to TMZ, her fiancé, Offset of the rap trio Migos, spent $550,000 on the custom-made jewelry. The ring features an eight-carat stone surrounded by two half-carat pear diamonds and two-carats worth of pink and white stones. The pricey bling took a month and a half to make and was done by Pristine Jewelers in New York City.

Sources report that the ring was finished just hours before Offset proposed to Cardi live on stage in Philadelphia.

“I just wanted to show you how beautify the ring is,” Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanazar, said in her Instagram video. “Damn, this thing on one hand.”

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 25, remarked that her fiancé’s attention to detail was impressive.

“I’m so grateful, I’m so happy,” she said. “I’d never think my ring would be this beautiful.”

The two rappers have been in a relationship since the beginning of the year and even recorded Cardi’s track “Lick” together. The relationship wasn’t without its problems though.

Just a week before the proposal, Cardi implied that she and Offset had broken up by posting a photo with the caption “single” to social media. Moments later she and Offset made up, with Cardi admitting that she “exaggerated a lil bit” and adding “I came to my senses now. I’m sorry.”

Following the live proposal, Cardi shared an image of the ring to Instagram.

 

“I just want to go to sleep and wake up and make sure this ain’t a dream.Thank you God for all these blessings,” she said. “Thank you babe @offsetyrn God really sent you to me.”

No announcement has been made yet on when the wedding will be, but BET and VH1 have offered to televise the event.
