Cardi B Shocked When Her 6-Year-Old ‘Ruins’ $60,000 Hermés Handbag By Drawing Heart With A Magic Marker

Rapper Cardi B gave fans a look into the world of parenting when she shared that her 6-year-old daughter ruined a luxury Hermés bag.

On Instagram stories, she showed a clip of the expensive yellow crocodile skin Hermés bag, presently devalued due to her eldest daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus’ personal touches via marker.

In the 14-second clip – which was later reposted on YouTube – Cardi B could be heard saying, “We literally spent $60,000 on this purse.” She highlighted the new marker heart on the bag, repeating, “Look what my daughter did to my purse…Look what my daughter did to my f—ing purse!”

While some viewers commiserated with the alterations to the expensive accessory, many praised the young girl’s artistic ability, asserting that the personal touch should make it all the more valuable to Cardi B. One fan remarked, “It’s better now. Something that your daughter drew is more valuable than a purse,” while another wrote, “She loves You…That’s a keepsake.”

It shouldn’t be noted that, while expensive, Hermés bags are known for their ability to be restored, and the cost of such restorations would be a drop in the bucket for the musical artist.

Cardi B shares Kulture, along with two other children, with her estranged husband, rapper Offset. She filed for divorce in July 2024.

In October, Cardi B showed off her extensive collection of Hermés bags, which included the same Hermés Kelly bag, as well as two Hermés Birkin bags and many other luxury bags and purses.

Cardi B is also known to dote on her daughter with expensive gifts, including over $80,000 in jewelry, a Versace snowsuit, and her own pink Hermés Birkin bag at the age of two.

Interestingly, in a July 2022 interview with Vogue Singapore, Cardi B emphasized the importance of keeping her children humble, saying, “They need to know to never feel comfortable. Don’t ever feel like, ‘I’m going to get it because I’m Cardi and Offset’s kid.’”

She continued, “They are never going to know what struggle feels like, so they might not have that hunger I had to leave the streets… Even though my kids are well-off, I want them to know that when you work for things and achieve it, it’s more respected—especially when people see that you bust your a– for it.”
