Well-known Canadian battle rapper Pat Stay was fatally stabbed in Nova Scotia, Canada, on Sunday, according to police.
Stay was 36 years old.

Stay was found by authorities in the early morning hours in downtown Halifax. He suffered from stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital, but died shortly after.
The rapper had been attending a wedding in Halifax, according to his Instagram stories.
Halifax Regional police said that they have not yet made an arrest, but are investigating Stay’s death. The medical examiner’s autopsy confirmed the stabbing was a homicide.
Rappers around the world, including Eminem, posted tributes to social media after the news of Stay’s passing was made public.
“Hip-hop lost one of the best battlers of all time … RIP @patstay .. KINGS NEVER DIE,” he wrote on Twitter.
Drake also commented on one of Stay’s recent songs, saying, “Pat Stay’s definitely one of, if not, the best.”
