Cameron Diaz is reportedly taking some time off from her busy Hollywood career to try to have a baby with her new husband, Benji Madden.

Diaz and Madden got married privately five months ago, and have been keeping a low profile ever since. Now, sources reveal the movie star has decided to take a break from acting and focus on her new role as wife, and, hopefully, a new role as mother.

“All she wants is to stay home and enjoy this special time in her life. She has told her team she won’t answer the phone for any amount of money – even though she has received offers for various things. She is adamant that she is not available for anything,” a source told Us Weekly.

Diaz was last seen on the big screen in the remake of Annie, and sources say she wants to take at least one year off before jumping back in front of the camera to “be a wife and try to have a baby.”

“Her priorities have 100 percent shifted. She wanted to settle down and she has,” another source said.

While Madden and Diaz have made efforts to keep their relationship out of the public eye – staying away from red carpet events and keeping each other off social media – Madden is not shy about sharing his love for the actress. A few months ago, the Good Charlotte rocker took to Instagram to show off a new “Cameron” tattoo. “Thinking about you [heart emojis] #LuckyMan,” he captioned the photo.
