California Supreme Court Turns Down Brad Pitt’s Appeal In Custody Battle With Angelina Jolie

The custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt seems to have no end in sight as the California Supreme Court refused to hear Pitt’s appeal of a court order that disqualified the judge presiding over the case.

The previous judge presiding over the case was disqualified for failing to disclose his business relationships with Pitt’s attorneys.

“Ms. Jolie is focused on her family and pleased that her children’s wellbeing will not be guided by unethical behavior,” her attorney, Robert Olson, said in an email.

A statement from a representative for Pitt on Wednesday said the Supreme Court decision “does not change the extraordinary amount of factual evidence which led the trial judge — and the many experts who testified — to reach their clear conclusion about what is in the children’s best interests.”

The couple originally married in 2014, before Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. The battle over custody has been ongoing since 2019 but seems to have no signs of stopping.
