Cake Boss Star Buddy Valastro Busted For DWI In New York City
Cake Boss’s Buddy Valastro was arrested in New York City and booked on suspicion of a DWI on Thursday.
‘Cake Boss’ Star Arrested
Valastro, star of TLC’s Cake Boss, was arrested in New York City shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday. He had allegedly been swerving down 10th Avenue in lower Manhattan in his yellow Corvette when police pulled him over. Upon speaking with Valastro, NYPD officers determined that the celebrity baker had had too much to drink.
“He was noticeably unsteady on his feet, bloodshot watery eyes,” a New York City Police Department spokesperson told People magazine.
Valastro’s blood alcohol level was measured at .08. A driver is considered intoxicated when their blood alcohol level is at or above .08.
Valastro was booked on suspicion of a DWI Thursday morning. He was expected to meet with a judge and be arraigned Thursday afternoon, reported The Star-Ledger.
New Jersey-born Valastro, owns and operates Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, N.J. In addition to the flagship store, Valastro has five other shops in New Jersey and one in Las Vegas.
