'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro Destroys Hand, Saved By Sons
After destroying his hand while bowling, “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro thanked his sons for rushing to his rescue on Good Morning America.
He had been trying to reset his bowling machine’s pinsetter when his hand was caught in its mechanisms and repeatedly impaled. He hopes his hand will make a full recovery so he can return to his bakery in Hoboken, N.J., but it is still too early to say.
“I couldn’t be prouder of my two sons here with me today,” Valastro says in the video. “Within five minutes, they had to undo a bolt, saw off one little piece of metal, and then I was in my driveway.”
Valastro first announced his injury on social media, where hundreds of fans wished him a full and safe recovery.
“What do you think of my new accessory?” he jokingly asked fans on both Twitter and Instagram.
