Caitlyn Jenner does her best female voice in a new I Am Cait which aired on Sunday.
Jenner reveals that while she has identified as female since childhood, she didn’t always feel others would recognize that.
Before the former Olympian went public about her transition, she wanted to know what life would be like when others accepted that she is a woman.
“Like if you call down to room service, ok?” she tells Kim Kardashian and Malika Haqq. “I’d be sitting there in my little room, all by my lonesome, and I’d think ok! I’m going to try to get my best feminine voice and call down so they say, ‘Yes, ma’am.’ I could never do it.”’
“Try it,” Kardashian answers back. “I’ll tell you if you get a ‘yes, ma’am.'”
Haqq adds, “Let’s hear her!”
“Front desk!” Kardashian says on her phone, while pretending to be a hotel employee. “Hey, this is room service. How can I help you?”
Then, as herself, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star tells Jenner, “Order bacon and eggs and an orange juice and toast.”
Jenner nods and prepares herself to respond using her female voice. “Yes, actually, you can help me!” Jenner replies.
“You sound no different!,” Kardashian laughs.
“I didn’t think so!” Jenner admits.
“Sir! What would you like, sir?” Kardashian jokes.
“That’s the problem!,” Jenner points out.
“Women cannot relate to the whole voice thing,” Jenner adds. “They don’t see it as being that important when it is that important, not only for you to speak and order and do all that kind of stuff, but very important for your soul that you’re feeling good about that.”
