Caitlyn Jenner says she has considered running for California Senate.

CAITLYN JENNER NEWS: MAY RUN FOR CALIFORNIA SENATE

During an interview with John Catsimatidis, Jenner admitted that running for office has crossed her mind, and that she may be able to do a better job. “I have considered it, I like the political side of it. The political side of it has always been very intriguing to me,” Jenner said. “Over the next six months or so, I [have to] find out where I can do a better job. Can I do a better job from the outside, kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talk to anybody? Or are you better off from the inside. And we are in the process of determining that.”

This is the second time Jenner has spoken about a political future for herself. She has often been in the public eye, and is a known Republican who supported Donald Trump during his campaign, so she would likely run as part of the GOP. Jenner addressed the possibility back in April on CNN.

“At first I thought I would never run for office, why? Cuz I’ve got way too many secrets… Now I have no more secrets!” Jenner said on air. “I would have to look over the next year or two and see if I could do a better job on the outside, or am I in a position now that I could do a better job for my community on the inside… and if I find it’s on the inside, I would seriously look at it.”

The next Senate election in California would be for Sen. Dianne Feinstein‘s seat. The 84-year-old Democrat has not announced if she will run again, but at this time, there are no other prominent Republicans who have showed interest in the seat.
