Caitlyn Jenner Receives Backlash For Her Support Of Trump Despite Anti-Trans Policies

Caitlyn Jenner has been the target of a slew of criticism in the wake of her vocal support for newly-inaugurated President Donald Trump.

Jenner, who was previously married to Kris Jenner before her transition into a woman in 2015, has long received backlash for her conservative politics and lack of support for the LGBTQ community, despite being a member of it.

On Monday, Jenner tweeted on X, “Congratulations Mr. President. Thanks be to God!” After she attended the inauguration, Jenner posted to X again, this time with a photo of friends at the event, and wore, “One of my favorite pictures from last night‘s starlight ball. The golden Age has begun. @JudgeJeanine @AlinaHabba @PamBondi & Sophia Hutchins.”

Within hours of being inaugurated, Trump signed new laws into effect to actively erase the LGBTQ community, with a strong emphasis on transgender individuals.

Trump proclaimed, “We will forge a society that is color-blind and merit-based. As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”

He further declared that government documents would now state “sex” rather than “gender,” a classification decided by “an individual’s immutable biological classification.”

The new order expanded, “These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.”

Since the inauguration, Jenner has received a massive increase in online criticism, questioning how she can support Republican politicians and policies when, according to the president, she herself no longer exists as a woman in the country.

The rapid rate of Trump’s new restrictions on the trans community comes as no surprise as in December at AmericaFest in Arizona, Trump promised his supporters, “With a stroke of my pen on Day one, we’re going to stop this transgender lunacy. And we will keep men out of women’s sports…And that will, likewise, be done on Day one. Should I do Day One or Day Two or Day Three? How’s day one?”
