Caitlyn Jenner Gives Blunt Response To O.J. Simpson’s Death: ‘Good Riddance’

In the wake of O.J. Simpson’s recent death at the age of 76, Caitlyn Jenner, 74, former Olympic gold medalist known for her role on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, took to social media to express her unreserved thoughts on the matter.

In a brief social media post with the hashtag #OJSimpson, Jenner made her sentiments clear: “Good riddance.”

The connection between Jenner and Simpson lies in their association through Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner, who was previously married to Robert Kardashian. Kardashian, a close friend of Simpson’s, notably served as one of the NFL star’s defense attorneys in his highly publicized murder trial in 1994.

Simpson’s family stated his X on his behalf, “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.”

They wrote, “During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”

Simpson played in the National Football League for 11 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills. Although acquitted of the charges in 1995, he was later found liable for the wrongful death of Ron Goldman and the battery of Nicole Brown Simpson, ordered by a Santa Monica jury to pay $33.5 million in damages in 1997. He was later sentenced to prison for stealing items from a memorabilia collector in a Las Vegas hotel room.

Jenner’s standpoint aligns with many others who have voiced their opinions on Simpson’s passing. Gloria Allred, an attorney who represented Nicole Brown Simpson in the high-profile murder trial, expressed her belief that the system had failed Nicole and battered women universally with the jury’s initial verdict.

Allred stated in an interview with New York City’s ABC7 news, “In the civil case which followed, he was found liable, responsible for her wrongful death. So, it’s fair to call him a killer… In any event, I don’t mourn for O.J. Simpson. I do mourn for Nicole Brown Simpson and her family. They should be remembered.”
