Tucker Carlson will interview Caitlyn Jenner on the first episode of his show in Bill O’Reilly’s time slot on Fox.
Carlson will interview Jenner, the former Olympic gold medalist and author on Monday, April 24. Jenner is expected to touch on President Trump’s administration and the current political climate and divide in America, Fox News said in a statement on Friday.
Although Jenner said she voted for Trump, she also expressed that her support depends on whether Trump’s administration will fight for the rights of transgender people.
“Here’s the deal: Yes, I did vote for Trump, but here’s the deal-breaker with the Republican party and the deal-breaker is you mess with my community, you do the wrong thing with my community, you don’t give us equality and a fair shot, I’m coming after you, ” Jenner said in a preview clip from her upcoming interview on 20/20.
Carlson’s news and analysis program is moving from its 9 p.m. time-slot to the 8 p.m. spot, which was left vacant when Bill O’Reilly’s show was canceled from the cable network, following sexual harassment allegations.
